FOTD: Turquoise Pearl

PRIMER: Mary Kay Eye Primer

BASE: NYX Jumbo Pencil in Rocky Mountain Green

SHADOW: I used NYX pearl mania loose e/s in “Turquoise pearl” over the majority of my lower lid. Then I used matte navy blue (from the WNW Pride palette) to darken the outer v. Next I used matte camel e/s (from the WNW Vanity palette) to highlight my browbone & fade out the turquoise. Finally I highlighted my inner corners with matte white e/s (also from the WNW Pride palette).

  

OTHER DETAILS… I used matte blackened purple e/s from the WNW Lust palette to fill in my eyebrows & L’Oreal Collagen Mascara in Blackest Black on my lashes. I defined my upper lashline using Wet N Wild cream liner in black & my waterline using Wet N Wild pencil in lilac. I used “Deep Grape” e/s (from the Coastal Scents Hot Pots collection) to set the purple eyeliner.

CHEEKS: Black Radiance sheer finish blush in Soft Honey

LIPS: Lancome Le Rouge Absolu lipstick in Pink Diamond + CO Bigelow lip gloss in Pink Mint

What’s going on with my wig?

I know they look more like coils, but this is a four day old flexi-rod set. For some reason my curls tend to get tighter over time, instead of staying the same diameter as the original rod. Anyway, my edges were fuzzy, so I brushed & smoothed em using Ecostyler Olive Oil gel. Then I secured it with a banana clip.

FOTD: Evergreen

Today’s face was inspired by the beauty of the coniferous forest. This pic is the closest I’ll ever get to experiencing crisp mountain air. It’s beautiful & all, but have you seen the movie The Edge? I don’t do bears, boo boo! I’ll just enjoy the view from my computer screen & sniff my pine-scented candle, thanks! LOL

PRIMER: NYX HD e/s base

BASE: NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk

SHADOW: I covered my entire lower eyelid in NYX Ultra Pearl Mania in Turquoise Pearl. Then I used my pencil brush to draw a line along the crease of my eyelid in shimmery, dark green e/s (from the Wet N Wild Snow Sprite palette). I used my Coastal Scents crease brush to blend that line & fade the dark green e/s into a matte grassy green (from the Shany 120 palette). Finally I used matte peach e/s (from the Wet N Wild Greed palette) to highlight my brow bone.

   

OTHER DETAILS… I used Wet N Wild Arch Envy brow wax & CoverGirl single e/s in Smolder to define my eyebrows & L’Oreal Collagen Mascara in Blackest Black on my eyelashes. I defined my upper lashline & waterline with Wet N Wild cream liner in black.

LIPS: Lancome Color Design lipstick in Trendy Mauve + Powetic Treasures lip gloss in Pink Passion

FOTD: “Lucky” Re-loaded

I liked the Feelin’ Lucky FOTD soooo much that I decided to give it another go. But this time I used turquoise on my lower lid (instead of green) & purple on my crease (instead of fuchsia). ENJOY!

PRIMER:  NYX HD e/s base

BASE: NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Rocky Mountain Green

SHADOW: I used matte turquoise on my outer lower lid (Shany 120 palette). I faded that color into a frosty teal e/s (also Shany) & used matte off-white to highlight my tearducts (Wet N Wild Greed palette). I used matte lavender to accent my crease & dark purple to deepen the outer v (also Shany). Finally, I used matte peach e/s to highlight my brow bone (from the Wet N Wild Greed palette).

OTHER DETAILS… I used CoverGirl single e/s in Smolder to define my eyebrows. Maybelline Volume Express “Falsies” Mascara in Blackest Black on my eyelashes. I defined my upper lashline with Wet n Wild cream eyeliner in black. I used Wet N Wild pencil in turquoise on my waterline & set it by applying turquoise e/s with my pencil brush.

SHADOW: I covered my lower eyelid in matte jungle green e/s, then I used matte baby blue e/s to brighten my tearducts & black e/s to darken my outer v (all from the Shany 120 palette)… BTW I also used turquoise e/s to blend the green & black shadows together. Finally, I used matte camel on my browbone (WNW Vanity palette).

OTHER DETAILS… I used CoverGirl single e/s in Smolder to define my eyebrows. L’Oreal Collagen Mascara in Blackest Black on my eyelashes. I defined my upper lash line with Wet n Wild cream eyeliner in black. On my waterline, I used Ulta glitter eyeliner pencil in Silver.

FOTD: Like there’s no tomorrow…

IDK about you, but I woke up knowing that 5/21/2011 @ 6pm (Eastern) couldn’t possibly be the rapture (click here for more info)… And since my salvation is already squared away & whatnot, I decided to do a funky look that I would have previously been too afraid to try! Hope you enjoy 🙂

Tip of the day: If you’re not already doing so, start living like there’s no tomorrow… today!

PRIMER: Coastal Scents Shadow Worx Matte e/s primer

BASE: Raspberry-colored cream eyeshadow from Claire’s 24  palette (on my lower lid) & WNW turquoise eyeliner on my crease

SHADOW: On my tear ducts I used golden yellow & I blended that into tangerine orange… then I blended the orange into magenta (all from Shany 120 palette). I drew a line around my crease & outer v with the turquoise WNW pencil. Then using a crease brush, I blended the line & added turquoise eyeshadow to the crease & outer v. As always, I used matte camel from WNW Vanity on my brow bone.

OTHER DETAILS… I used CoverGirl single e/s in Smolder to define my eyebrows. L’Oreal Collagen Mascara in Blackest Black on my eyelashes. I defined my upper lashline with WetnWild cream eyeliner in black. On my waterline I repeated the turquoise eyeliner & eyeshadow from my eyelid for continuity.

LIPS: Carmex + “Stop Violence in the Home” lip gloss by The Body Shop

CHEEKS: Ulta single e/s in Sparks in the hollows of my cheeks & Black Radiance sheer finish blush in Soft Honey (8305B) on the apples of my cheeks

FOTD: Lavish me in lavender

For this look I had to channel my inner drag queen… do you watch Rupaul’s Drag Race on VH1?! If not, you ahould start; their makeup is ALWAYS HOT!!! Whenever I see their faces I walk away thinking I need to step my game up a bit (LOL). The queens got it goin on baby! ANYWAY… Today I used high contrast colors (lavender & teal) in shimmer finish! *DAZZLING* Hope you enjoy 🙂

SHADOW: On entire lower lid I used a shimmery lavender e/s (Shany 120 palette). I drew a line on my crease using the NYX pencil in Rocky Mountain Green & put a shimmery teal e/s (Shany) on top of that line w/ a crease brush. I added matte white e/s to highlight my tearducts & matte black e/s to darken the outer v (both Shany). I finished with matte camel (WetNWild Vanity) under my browbone.

OTHER DETAILS… I used CoverGirl single e/s in Smolder to define my eyebrows. L’Oreal Collagen Mascara in Blackest Black on my eyelashes. I defined my upper lashline with WetnWild cream eyeliner in black.

LIPS: Carmex + Estee Lauder lip gloss in Rose

CHEEKS: WetNWild Blush in “Heather Silk” (on the apples of my cheeks)
