Today’s hair porn is brought to you by another ANTM alumnus: Bre Scullark! This Harlem native made it to 3rd place in Cycle 5 of America’s Next Top Model. If you haven’t already, you should checkout some of the ANTM re-runs, her curly fro is phenomenal! Although she did not win the competition that season, her modeling career is in full gear. She works for Ford Modeling Agency & has appeared in ads & commercials for Target, Old Navy, CoverGirl, Dark & Lovely, Ambi, Pantene & Garnier. She has also been featured in Vibe, Essence, Hair Hype & Us Weekly Magazines.  GO GIRL!

Hair Porn: The Yaya DaCosta Edition

Back in college I was obsessed with ANTM! IDK what you were doing in 2004, but my sorority sisters & I were glued to the tele each & every Wednesday night to see “who would continue in hopes of becoming America’s Next Top Model” *in my Tyra voice* LOL. Natural hair had not yet become mainstream, but Yaya DaCosta rocked her fro with style & confidence on Cycle 3. In the end, she was runner-up to Eva Pigford, but after looking thru these pics, I’m sure you can imagine what a difficult choice that must have been. She is absolutely beautiful!

Today I’m curl-crushin’ on Corinne Bailey Rae! If you haven’t already, you should check out her music; she has the voice of an angel. *I digress* The roller set was her staple style back when her hair was short & now that it has gotten past her shoulders, she rocks a MEAN twist-out. But whether it’s long or short, her hair is freakin’ fabulous 🙂 ENJOY!

What do I love most about her hair?

• OBVIOUSLY her haircolor is phenomenal. It really compliments her skintone!
• The layers of her haircut frame her face to a T… obviously her stylist has the skillz to pay the billz!
• I love that she wears her hair in its natural state even on the red carpet… that takes guts!
